We are looking for an IT professional to support our swiss based companies. 

Role summary:

Provide quality support for site-level IT infrastructure components, collaborate with external vendors and internal facilities teams to deliver stable operations, ongoing maintenance and continuous improvements.  Own desktop standardization and professional support for digital workplace solutions, engage in critical end-user support cases and liaise across technical / functional teams to troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Be the primary contact for site-level IT infrastructure, ensure stability and business continuity for critical services, drive improvements based on changing business needs and optimize components for better integration, coordinate vendor engagements and on-site work
  • Solve end-user issues as required, maintain activities in the standard ticketing tool, update knowledge articles and investigate recurring incidents for root cause and remediation
  • Develop, test, maintain and distribute standardized Microsoft Windows images, prepare packages for application deployments, continuously refresh toolset
  • Maintain HW / SW license inventories, organize patch management and regular upgrades, ensure discipline / compliance with standards and policies
  • Be the ambassador for digital transformation initiatives, collaborate with group level project teams, drive local adaption, own user training and feedback loops
  • Define and maintain standards for desktop and laptop purchases
  • Ensure that knowledge is captured and shared efficiently to reduce incident resolution times
  • Closely collaborate with local IT Support / central Service Desk teams, directly engage in user support for critical issues, during complex change and higher resource load periods

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • 4+ years’ experience in similar positions with a proven track record of success
  • Reference in hands-on support, daily operational activities, incident / problem management
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / IT Infrastructure or an equivalent industry experience with both practical and theoretical domain knowledge
  • Fluent in English and German, proficiency in Microsoft Windows / Office 365, relevant experience with modern digital collaboration and productivity tools
  • ITIL knowledge or certification is an asset
