E-world 2024: trade fair impresses with strong figures

February 29, 2024
Record-breaking trade fair appearance in the Ruhr region, where the heart of the German energy sector beats – MET Group’s presence at E-world 2024 was more extensive than ever. The MET booth had an additional floor, and up to 200 meetings with trading counterparties, customers, and business partners were held during the three days of the fair.

Everything was bigger this year, and MET Group was right in the middle of it. Europe’s leading trade fair for the energy industry ended with new records: at E-world 2024 in Essen, 923 exhibitors from 30 nations showcased their solutions for the energy supply of tomorrow. Welcoming around 30,000 trade visitors (another new record), the trade halls saw a high level of attendance, with international business partners from 72 nations (yet another new record).

More than 50 events and special forums were organized on the sidelines of E-world, with 340 speakers in total – including MET Germany CEO Jörg Selbach-Röntgen who shared his thoughts on the future of hydrogen in Germany with a large audience. As for MET International CEO György Vargha, he participated in a Montel Live Talk about geopolitics and energy.

For the first time, MET Group had a new stand with an additional floor on top of the ground floor. This new floor was used as a VIP area for high-level meetings of top managers, including MET Group Chairman & CEO Benjamin Lakatos. More than 200 guests attended the official reception at the MET booth on the opening night of E-world 2024.

MET Group’s experts were there to discuss hot topics ranging from LNG imports and security of supply to hydrogen and the energy future in general. Around 70 MET colleagues from several countries across Europe attended the fair. The contacts made at the trade fair were once again very promising – and now it is time to use the momentum for further growth.
