More than 48,000 attendees from 150 countries over four days (September 9-12) – Gastech 2025 in Milan has set a new record. For MET Group, Gastech was more than just an industry event, it was a place to connect with international partners and highlight the steps we are taking towards a sustainable energy future.
At the MET Group stand, our top managers and experts from various countries across Europe and Asia welcomed partners, customers and counterparties, and had the chance to meet new contacts from all over the world. Thanks to a strong presence, we were able to host meetings and discuss new business opportunities.
The active role that MET wants to play in the energy transition was at the core of the interviews that Benjamin Lakatos, Chairman and CEO of MET Group, gave to leading international media including Bloomberg, Reuters and the Financial Times.
Balancing security of supply, affordability and sustainability whilst building an integrated global energy business – these are some of the topics the Group CEO elaborated on.
On the sidelines of Gastech, MET Group has announced a key development in its LNG business. MET has finalised a Heads of Agreement with Keppel for a 0.5MTPA long-term LNG supply contract to Singapore, to be supplied from MET's global LNG portfolio. This transaction will enhance security of energy supply for Singapore and deepen the existing partnership between MET and Keppel.

This important news also gave us the opportunity to be featured in the Gastech Show Daily, the official newspaper of the event. Distributed online and handed out each morning at the entrance, the Show Daily provided real-time visibility to MET.
