From tomatoes to water – this is how MET supports local entrepreneurs

June 27, 2025
A Romanian company growing tasty tomatoes, and an Italian firm using advanced technologies to promote sustainability in key industries – on International Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Day, let us present how MET Group supports SMEs and local entrepreneurship.

“We started with a simple dream: to grow tasty tomatoes, like the ones we ate as children. The fact that our products are on the shelves of the largest retailers in Romania is an important achievement for us and the local community,” explains Silvia Răileanu, Managing Director of the Serele SupeR Agricultural Cooperative, one of MET Romania’s customers.

SupeR Greenhouses represents an example of success in Romanian agriculture through innovation and sustainability. The business has consolidated its position as the leader in the local quality tomato market, promoting Romanian products.

Combining scientific research and practical innovation: this is the strength of Quantica R&D, founded in Italy by the multidisciplinary team of Dr. Luciano Gastaldi, operating in the field of complex systems physics. The company, one of MET Energia Italia’s clients, has developed S.M.T.© (Supra Molecular Technology) – a proprietary platform that uses specific wavelengths to enhance the structure and properties of water.

This amazing technology leads to effective, scalable solutions for sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, sports and cosmetics. In agriculture, for instance, Quantica R&D has created the “Beyond Organic” project – an approach based on structured water to support plant vitality and reduce the use of chemical treatments. By modulating the molecular structure of water, the Italian company enhances its functional properties, making water better suited for various applications, from natural skincare to performance optimization in sports.
