The senior executive will take over the position from 1 July 2025, having already held leadership roles in various major energy companies during his career. Sven Wolf has in-depth knowledge about the overall energy value chain with a special focus on commercial business (supply, sales and trading) in the gas and electricity sectors, including in renewable energies. In particular, he has extensive experience in the areas of business development and change management.
Most recently, Sven Wolf has been working as General Manager at SPIE Energy Solutions, where he is responsible for energy efficiency solutions in the industrial, commercial and public sectors, renewable energy generation (PV) and business growth through M&A. Prior to that, as Country Manager at Iberdrola, he successfully developed and executed the PPA business for Iberdrola’s renewable assets in Germany. Further career milestones included management positions at GETEC ENERGIE, Nexus Energie and Uniper / E.ON / Ruhrgas, where he worked across several European countries.
Prior to his career in the energy industry, Sven Wolf was a Senior Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), supporting municipal gas and power companies in the context of liberalisation of the German gas market.
