The construction of Tázlár Solar Park, one of Hungary’s largest solar parks, has been completed and the solar power plant has commenced commercial operations. The investment covers an area of almost 100-hectares in which more than 115.000 solar panels have been installed.

The solar park joins the electricity grid through a newly installed high voltage substation. The commissioning of Tázlár Solar Park, with an integrated capacity of 63 MWp, took place over several phases. It will provide electricity to more than 36 thousand households.

The owners – MASPED Első Magyar Általános Szállítmányozási Zrt., “HO-ME 2000” Vagyonkezelő Kft., and MET Group – used own resources and commercial bank project financing to fund the approximately EUR 50 million investment. The solar power plant incorporates the latest technology and has an expected lifetime of at least 30 years.

As part of project implementation, the investors are also planting more than 42,000 trees, in line with the applicable provisions of the Forestry Act.
