MET Group opens new office in Düsseldorf

October 2, 2025
MET Group, an integrated European energy company based in the canton of Zug, Switzerland, has officially opened its new office in Düsseldorf yesterday in the presence of business partners, customers and representatives from politics and business.

In recent years, Germany has become one of the most important markets for MET. With gas and power supply, its own natural gas storages, LNG imports and investments in renewables, the company is active along the entire energy value chain in Germany. In addition, MET supports German customers with risk management, long-term supply and decarbonization solutions – for greater stability, efficiency and climate neutrality.

The opening of the Düsseldorf office is a strategic step to operate even closer to customers, partners and decision-makers going forward. The premises in Germany's “energy capital” are a second location of MET Germany alongside Frankfurt am Main.

“MET Group's decision in favour of Düsseldorf underlines the attractiveness of our business location and, at the same time, strengthens our profile as an important energy centre”, said Lord Mayor Dr. Stephan Keller. “With projects such as the EUREF Campus, we are developing an ecosystem for innovation, sustainability and future technologies in Düsseldorf. The fact that MET, an internationally active energy company, settles here shows that our city is becoming increasingly important for the energy industry.”

The newly opened Düsseldorf office will not only further expand MET Germany's sales team, supplying German industrial and commercial customers, but will also act as an additional hub for the entire Group. The Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region is predestined as a location for many other players in the energy industry.

“With our new location in Düsseldorf, we create additional structures for our onwards expansion. We look forward to helping shape the future of energy supply together with partners, customers and new colleagues”, commented Sven Wolf, CEO of MET Germany.
