The MET Alumni Club aims to maintain a network with former employees and reconnect through different activities: career and knowledge-sharing opportunities, fun events and a lot more. The recent get-together in Zug (Switzerland) – attended by 35 former colleagues as well as current MET employees and top managers – was not a usual networking dinner, but rather an evening filled with rhythm, drums, and cheerful moments.
In his welcome speech, MET Group Chairman and CEO Benjamin Lakatos told former colleagues: “Today’s world is increasingly unpredictable, but there is at least one constant: MET‘s commitment to building a community. Even if employees leave the company, in a way they still belong to MET Group since they have contributed to building our success story. For that, we will always be thankful, and we are happy to meet them on a regular basis thanks to these events”.
It is always a pleasure to welcome Boomerang Alumni among the guests. Since the MET Alumni Club was established in 2023, twice as many Boomerang Alumni have rejoined the company than during the 15 years before the Club’s establishment. MET now has a total of 23 boomerangs, forming a diverse and international community within the company.
The MET Alumni Club is also an excellent platform to start business partnerships. So far, several MET Alumni have launched specific cooperations with MET Group, especially in the areas of professional services (consulting, coaching etc) – and there is more to come as several promising business ideas were discussed during the evening.
MET Alumni can mark in their calendars the next MET Alumni Club Get-together event, scheduled for June 13 in Budapest – with musical moments in the focus again. They can also register for all upcoming programmes and events here: https://alumni.met.com
