Every year, the Dutch "Top Employers Institute" honours top employers in various countries. This year, 40 companies were selected from Switzerland. The 2025 ranking again includes a number of employers with headquarters in Central Switzerland. These include the pharmaceutical company MSD from Lucerne; the building materials group Holcim from Zug; the Capri Sun Group from Baar; MET Group from Baar, which operates in the natural gas sector; Johnson & Johnson in Zug; the cigarette manufacturer JTI in Dagmersellen; and the pharmaceutical company Fresenius Kabi with its Swiss import company in Kriens.
The "Swiss Employer Awards" were also presented at the same time. Central Swiss companies also came out on top here. In the large companies category (1000+ employees), the Luzerner Kantonalbank came in second place, whilst the Rothenburg bakery supplier Pistor also came in second place among medium-sized companies with 250 to 999 employees. Among companies with 100 to 249 employees, the Lucerne-based Ameron Collection (which includes Hotel Flora) came second and the Sursee-based IT company BitHawk came third. The Seeblick Sursee Nursing and Care Home took first place in the small companies category (50-99 employees).
