What was your first thought when you heard your name announced as one of the winners of the 2023 MET Excellence Awards?
It would be really poetic claiming I had flashbacks of my career and private life, especially in 2022. Actually, I clearly remember I was very calm and just focused on the moment. The first real thought was about the people important to me, unfortunately there was space to publicly thank just a few of them.
What do you think is your greatest professional achievement?
I am aware that reaching a significant gross margin with the gas storage portfolio in Germany is an outstanding result and I am definitely proud of it. Nevertheless, nothing happened in a day, it is the outcome of an intense and relentless learning process. My greatest achievement is probably leaving the comfort zone of a position I knew really well, taking a new challenge with trading, committing to it and being always hungry to do better.
Where do you see MET Group – and yourself – in five years?
MET Group achieved a lot in the past years and holds the potential to grow much more in the near future. I expect MET will play a strategic role in the energy industry. It won’t be easy, further focus and sustainable operations are necessary to get there. I see myself highly contributing to business targets and playing a key role in the growth of the company.
How do you ‘recharge batteries’ outside working hours?
I like travelling, visiting art exhibitions, reading, and dedicating time to sport.
