Over 25 years of corporate finance experience across Asia and Europe, currently head of the energy sector in ING Corporate Finance and also part of the energy sector (lending) management team as Utilities lead.

Responsible for senior relationship management with ING’s utility clients and plays a prominent role in various sector projects in the context of ongoing energy transition developments, with a lead role in energy storage.

Joined ING in 1997 in the Project and Structured Finance department in Singapore focusing on Power. In 1999 moved to ING Corporate Finance in Hong Kong to become the head of the utilities sector in Asia in charge of origination, execution and regional support for M&A transactions and strategic dialogue.

Actively involved in numerous strategic transactions for most major utilities in Asia and Europe, including Alpia, Audax, Axpo, CEZ, Eneco/Mitsubishi, EDF, Enexis, Engie, Eon/Essent, EPH, Gasunie, Iberdrola, Keppel, KEPCO, LightSource BP, Marubeni, Mega, MET, MVM, Polenergia, Slovenske Elektrarne, Steag, Tennet, Tessenderlo, Uniper, Vattenfall/Nuon.

Prior to joining ING, from 1986 to 1996, worked for 10 years as a corporate lawyer at an international law firm in Singapore, Rotterdam and New York, being involved in numerous international financial transactions. Holds a Masters of Law degree from Leiden University in the Netherlands.
