MET Group operates the Dunamenti Power Plant in Százhalombatta, the largest natural gas-fired power plant in Hungary. Dunamenti's total generation capacity is 794 megawatts, consisting of two independent power production units. Featuring a modern Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) design, Dunamenti is highly efficient, producing both electricity and heat for local consumption. As a result of its ownership of the Dunamenti Power Plant, MET Group is active in the ancillary services market for electricity balancing on the Hungarian power network.
MET Group owns Hungary’s largest natural gas distributor Tigáz. It distributes over 2 billion cubic metres of natural gas annually to 1.2 million customers in 1,094 municipalities of North-East Hungary.
